Letters : Milan, 1839 June 15-16.

In his letters, to William Spence and to Giuseppe Moricci, Sabatelli gives a lengthy critical assessment of paintings exhibited in Milan. He is disappointed by the choice of subjects and the quality of the executions in the works of Giovanni Servi and Rotini of Brescia. He reserves praise for a portrait of a woman by Francesco Podesti, a sunrise by Cannella, and a scene of the Crusades by Di Bisi.
